Monofilament, on the other hand, can absorb shocks due to the stretch, but has the disadvantage of slack line reducing the sensitivity.
Platypus have created the perfect compromise between braid and typical monofilament lines, so you get the best of both worlds! Their new low-stretch formula will make sure the line stays taut from your bait or lure right up to your rod tip. However, they have left just enough stretch in the line to be able to absorb shocks created by an aggressive strike from a fish, or when a fish splashes around the surface next to the boat.
